However your character ended up in the music building, congratulations. They're in one of the nerdiest parts of campus.
Perhaps they're exploring. Maybe they're on their way to practice. Either way, they'll hear some hardcore classical piano music down one of the halls. Then it changes to video game music then rock 'n' roll then back to classical. Whoever's behind the wheel of that crazy thing must be a bit...whimsical. Gonna go check it out?
(Totally should, by the way.)

[He walked in all the same, quietly closing the door behind him.]

[Diarmuid found he rather liked Kamina; he was open and honest, though perhaps a little too loud. But that was no terrible thing. Diarmuid himself was quiet and withdrawn in comparison to most, so having someone else around to draw attention and fill the silence was nice.]
no subject
Damn right, I'd prefer that. More fun, anyway. []plays two or three scales to warm up] You got any requests?
no subject
I hardly have any preference. Whatever you wish to play, I'll be only too happy to listen.
no subject
You asked for it. [and then kamina played some music only the devil would like.]
no subject
you terrible human being whyyyyy][Diarmuid didn't have anything more than a casual acquaintance with video games; music, however, was something he had a deep appreciation for. And despite how rarely he was found holding a controller, it would be a lie to assume he didn't know this song in particular.]
[So despite how very very quiet and reserved he usually was, as it turned out Diarmuid couldn't quite help but end up singing mostly under his breath.]
Céard a tharla do na laethanta sin
Céard a tharla do na h-oícheanta sin
An cuimhin leat an t-am
Nuair a bhí tú faol bhrón

because i enjoy your pain][kamina had no such distance from video games. one of his most prized possessions was a Neo Geo he'd bargained for over an hour at a yard sale, complete with Fatal Fury, thank you very much. odds were that if he wasn't practicing or goofing off, he was playing games.
so it was a pleasant surprise hearing the barest whispers of diarmuid singing along. good taste.] Speak up! Concerts need singin'!

I-I--really, I'm not very good or anything... [Diarmuid stumbled over his words, hurriedly trying to recover from the sudden embarrassment.]
And I can't for the life of me remember what that's from, it only stuck in my mind because I learned Gaelic before I learned English and this is really quite embarrassing so perhaps I should be quiet now.

kamina smiles when he notices kasumi. she always listened without complaint and he always loved an audience. match made in heaven. he plays something a bit more low-key. those are kasumi's favorites.]

Well, it's kinda hard when there's a piano playing bro being loud around. So she swings by.]

What's up, Marcie?
no subject
Nuttin' much. Just chillin'.
no subject
Same. Just trying to get by.
no subject
Mind if I jam with ya?
[She tends to carry her awesome bass around with her. In like. A case. Which is totally here now.]
no subject
No way I mind. You're good, anybody'd want you jammin' with them...you're just not as good as me!
no subject
she waits for a lull in the music before speaking. ]
Somehow, I always forget how well you play.

Never ever?
no subject
Ah - well, no. Is that so bad?

she enters the piano room silently at first, eyes closed to pick up the rhythm, then starts tapping out a brisk matching beat on the closest bench. ]
