[RL with Yoko/Backdated to after Kyo's Bachelor Party] Hey Now, Hey Now, My Boyfriend's Back!

Kamina stumbled out of the Illusions Bar hours after the party ended, red faced and more jovial than usual.  It was clear that he had indulged himself in a bit more alcohol than he should have and maybe he wasn't holding his liquor as well as Ban or Kyo was, but he didn't notice.  This had been the third best time in his life!  Well...the best time in his afterlife!

"Nah, I've got it!" he called back to King (who was currently watching with disapproval from the door), "A man handles himself in every situation without any problems!  I'll be fine!"

Which made his trip over the sidewalk that much more satisfying to King.

Ignoring her chuckles, he picked himself off the ground and dusted himself off.  Where to go from here?  He could see more this place or he could go visit stuff.  He didn't know how long he had left in the physical world.  And then, an idea.

"YOKO!" he bellowed triumphantly.  It'd been seven years, right?  What could be better than a surprise visit from a dead man?  The same unmarked, blue door that brought him to Southtown appeared in front of him and he yanked open the door.  Not five feet away from him sat the biggest ass and the body attached to it with her back to him.  He grinned at King and walked unsteadily through the frame.

This was going to be fun.

The return trip to Kamina City was taking longer than Yoko had expected. It probably wouldn't have taken her so long if her scooter hadn't broken down for awhile. She was racing against the clock here and the thing had already let her down. She just needed to reach the city to get Simon out. He would be able to help them out of this situation.

Yoko blew into the fire lightly, trying to keep the warmth up. She had pitched a small tent for the night. She was about dead from exhaustion and she was hungry. Or she had been until she ate. She was about to go to sleep and continue towards the city in the morning.

Yoko leaned back to rest against her scooter. She had her rifle laying next to her, never letting the thing out of her sight. It had been so long since she needed it, but now was the time to use it again. Fighting the ganmen from before made her feel like the old her. And she had done it to protect her students. She hoped to return to teaching once all of this was settled... if it was settled.

Yoko glanced up at the moon that hung ominously close to the Earth. This couldn't be it. This couldn't be the end after they had fought so hard for this life. They had all come so far in the past seven years for it to end like this. No, she wouldn't let it. Neither would Simon once he was free. They would make things right again.

She leaned her head back against the scooter and closed her eyes. The sooner she slept the sooner she could get back on her way to Kamina City and get Simon out of there.

He always made sure to make as loud an entrance as possible, but this time, he couldn't bring himself to. She was staring at the moon with a look on her face that confused him. Yoko didn't get sad. She was the one that shot everything and watched his back. Being sad when she should have been on the lookout...inexcusable as a member of the Dan!

Kamina closed the door quietly, turned on his heel, and marched over. He eyed the thing she was leaning against. Must of been that scooter thing. It was obviously unfit for battle. Another mark against her!

"You!" he said a little too loudly. "Be prepared!" And he lightly punched the top of her head.

Yoko nearly jumped out of her skin at the sound of the new voice. She was alone out here last she checked. Everyone was running for shelter or trying to escape. Who was hitting her on the head suddenly?!

She jumped up as if she'd never been asleep, grabbing her rifle and shoving it into the neck of her antagonizer. It took a second for her to register who it was in the dim campfire light. She slowly lowered her gun, staring at the newcomer in shock.

"Kamina...?" She whispered.

"Oi, who did you think this was?" What a stupid question. He scowled on the outside, but he was grinning like a fool underneath. She hadn't lost her edge after all! A few less marks against her for this.

"Pointin' your gun at yer leader. Your fat ass has always been slow. You shoulda shot me as soon as I walked in." He allowed her to see a smirk. "Bet you're surprised, huh? Seven years, right?" She hadn't changed in appearance at all. Boobs, ass, hair, eyes...it was like looking at her the day he died when they....

He blushed thinking about it. Maybe she did, maybe she didn't. Right now, he hoped she believed this was him unlike the last time.

Yoko blushed in embarrassment as he called her on how slow she was. She had let her guard down and it could have ended up being worse than it was. She was thankful it was just Kamina, and for more reasons than one. It had been seven years since he died. She felt her heart tighten at the sight of him. She so badly wanted to throw her arms around him, but he had just called her fat ass again. And she couldn't let him off easily.

She raised the rifle again and pointed it at his neck, not really planning to do any really damage. "Who says I still can't shoot? I'm still surprised," She told him, threateningly. It was all bluff, really, but it was fun still.

[identity profile] aburningspirit.livejournal.com 2008-06-09 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
"Bullshit. You woulda shot already." The smirk was still on his face. "'Sides, I'm dead. Not like it would hurt." Wait, would it? Crap, he didn't know that for sure.

So he played it up by lifting his neck ever so slightly and shifting so the barrel of the gun rested over his jugular. "Go on then."

[identity profile] donttouchmygun.livejournal.com 2008-06-09 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
Yoko smirked at him. He had no real idea if it would hurt or not, just like she had no real idea what would happen if you killed a dead guy. Still, she wasn't going to say anything about it. Better just to pretend that they knew what they were doing.

Yoko lowered the gun and turned away from him, feigning indifference to his arrival. "I have better things to do right now," She said.

There was a beat of silence as she turned. Damn, she looked good. And then she said that

"WHAT?! YOU DON'T TURN YOUR BACK ON ME! WHAT WERE YOU DOIN' ANYWAY OTHER THAN TAKING YOUR FAT ASS TO SLEEP?!" The alcohol was definitely going to his head. "YOU SHOULD BE GLAD I CAME!"

[identity profile] donttouchmygun.livejournal.com 2008-06-09 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
Yoko turned back around to face him and glared. His yelling definitely brought out the more argumentative side of him. She threw her hands in the air in exasperation.

"I WAS RESTING SO THAT I COULD FINISH TRAVELING AND I WON'T BE USELESS TO SIMON WHEN I ARRIVE! YOU ARE NOW KEEPING ME FROM DOING SO!" She shouted back at him.

[identity profile] aburningspirit.livejournal.com 2008-06-09 04:25 am (UTC)(link)
"So go to sleep! All you gotta do is ignore me!" He crossed his arms and made sure to look at some patch of the horizon rather Yoko's campsite.

"I'll keep watch so you don't have to worry." Not that he cared too much or anything. Better for Simon and the rest of the Dan if she got a full night's sleep. Good for her too. Can't fight tired. Or hungry. Hm, food. "You got any steak on you?" he asked.

[identity profile] donttouchmygun.livejournal.com 2008-06-16 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Yoko slumped down next to her scooter and glared at Kamina. "You're not so easy to ignore," She grumbled. She wondered if he was hungry when he was dead or if it was just because he was here. How did he get here anyways?

She grabbed some food from her pack and started cooking it, not steak, but good meat still. "Where'd you come from, anyways?" She asked him.

[identity profile] aburningspirit.livejournal.com 2008-06-17 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
"Not supposed to ignore me." Really. Who the hell did she think he was? Some village chief?

He stalked to the opposite side of the fire and sat. Should he say something about the party....? Nah. She'd probably kill him (again) if he told her truth. "Went to go see a friend. Needed somebody to talk to." More like yell and drink with. "What about you? Gotta be headin' from somewhere."
