aburningspirit: (out there it's a crazy world)
[renji had said, "kamina, you've gotta check out these cool movies, they're called indiana jones and they are the best ever."

after spending hours with the original trilogy with his best friend in soul society, kamina could heartily agree that yes, they were the best thing ever.  the credits roll for indiana jones and the last crusade and he shoves the last bit of popcorn in his mouth.]

Wait, so why'd he name himself after the dog?

aburningspirit: (h-hnnn.)
[waiting outside of sheryl's hotel in ripped up work pants and a comfy shirt, totally not nervous at all about this.  i mean, he was a marian.  marian men did not get nervous about ladies.  they commandeered.

okay, so he was a little bit nervous.

aburningspirit: (fighting to live)
[kamina sits in a comfortable-looking cot in the Fourth Squad's infirmary section, bandaged, stitched, and positively seething.  even the blushing and obviously checking out his hot body pretty nurse standing at his bedside isn't distracting him.  you might notice the video is a bit static-y.  that would be his reitatsu practically crushing the camera.  his words drip venom.]

I'm gonna kick her ass.

[his eyes glow green for a just a moment before returning to their natural red color.

run for the hills, yo.

[kamina is roving the huge selection of deliciousness while clad in boat provided flip-flops, his own totally awesome flame swimming trunks, and Meiyo slung over his shoulders.  there's a feeling he keeps getting that's almost like the Hollows back in Soul Society, but less...intense if he had to attach a qualifier to it.  almost like whatever it is is waiting.

but there's very little on his mind other than eating all he possibly can while he's here right now and that is what matters.

[he appears in the outskirts of kamina city where the two met before, a little uncomfortable with the shinigami chaperone.  what'd he'd give to be one already.  kamina could get his rematch then....  that's not what he's there for now so he puts it at the back of his mind.  he waits for yoko to arrive, hands in pockets and a little grin on his face.]
aburningspirit: (my cape is kickass)
[Kamina steps out into the water on one of the far edges of the beach, enjoying the feeling of incoming waves lapping against his legs.  The swimming trunks provided by the wherever he was (he notes to himself that he's got to find a better name, and soon) get more and more wet as he goes farther out into the ocean.  He likes this place even though he's only been here once.  It's open and breezy and free like a good place on the surface should be and it's got all that water.  Water as far as the eye can see.  Way better than those little puddles underground.  He stops once it reaches his waist and stuffs his hands in his pockets.  He's going to see his bro for the first time in weeks--a year, really.  How did he look now?  Was he taller than him?

He removes his hands from the restricted space of his pockets and holds them behind his head.  The only way to find out is to see Simon in person.

Kamina grinned at the familiar landscape.  Sand, rocks, and a huge open sky.  There was no place like home.

He closed the door behind him and sat on one of the surrounding boulders.  Stupid Yoko.  He knew hew as going to have to wait on her.  He was going to have to give her a warning.  But what she had said...

I kinda like you a lot too.

And he had his debt to repay.  Maybe it wasn't so bad waiting.  It gave him more time to sort out all the feelings and thoughts rushing through his head.  Augh.  He laid back, the stone warming his back while he fell deep into thought.

Stupid girls.

aburningspirit: (unafraid)
He had no clue what Shinji's world looked like.  He didn't know where he stayed or who could be with him.

That hadn't stopped him before.

Kamina stomped from the computer and on his way to the blue door that had suddenly appeared, grabbed his sword and cape, and shoved his glasses on his face.  That kid wasn't going to get away with thinking he was trash like that.  His cape was on in seconds and he slung his sword over his shoulder.  This was all he needed.

He kicked the door open with a bang.  Huh.  Weird place humans lived in his world.  A long hallway with lots of little doors.  At the edge of his memory, he remembered Yoko telling him that this was an apart-thingy.  Whatever.  Obviously made people soft.

Looking around him, he realized he also didn't know which door belonged to Shinji.  Could be a problem.

But it never stopped him before.

He banged on the door straight ahead of him and waited to see if it was his intended trainee.

Kamina stumbled out of the Illusions Bar hours after the party ended, red faced and more jovial than usual.  It was clear that he had indulged himself in a bit more alcohol than he should have and maybe he wasn't holding his liquor as well as Ban or Kyo was, but he didn't notice.  This had been the third best time in his life!  Well...the best time in his afterlife!

"Nah, I've got it!" he called back to King (who was currently watching with disapproval from the door), "A man handles himself in every situation without any problems!  I'll be fine!"

Which made his trip over the sidewalk that much more satisfying to King.

Ignoring her chuckles, he picked himself off the ground and dusted himself off.  Where to go from here?  He could see more this place or he could go visit stuff.  He didn't know how long he had left in the physical world.  And then, an idea.

"YOKO!" he bellowed triumphantly.  It'd been seven years, right?  What could be better than a surprise visit from a dead man?  The same unmarked, blue door that brought him to Southtown appeared in front of him and he yanked open the door.  Not five feet away from him sat the biggest ass and the body attached to it with her back to him.  He grinned at King and walked unsteadily through the frame.

This was going to be fun.
